With Mother’s Day only few days away, I’ve put together a list of some favourite spots for the late organisers to ensure Mother dearest gets totally spoilt this weekend ( ..at a time that suits her of course!)

TOP 5 Mother’s Day Breakfast Spots

Bills 433 Liverpool Street, Darlinghurst. Must try: Ricotta hotcakes with honeycomb butter.

Bar Indigo 6/15 Cross St, Double Bay. Must try: Breakfast Bruschetta and Fluffy Ricotta Pancakes. Also great for lunch, try: Roasted Butternut Pumpkin, Prawn and Pancetta. Linguini

Cornersmith | 314 Illawarra Road, Marrickville. Must try: Poached egg roll with pasture-raised ham, garlic aioli, smoky onion relish and fennel salad.

Orto Trading 38 Waterloo Street, Surry Hills. Must try: Potato hash, berkshire gypsy ham, fresh tomato, avocado, lemon dressed rocket, asparagus and a poached egg. Make sure you book a table in the courtyard if it’s a nice sunny day.

Small Bar and Kitchen Shop 1, 1-3 Broughton Street, Kirribilli. Highlight: This perfect little wine bar is usually a favourite lunch spot but they are opening their doors for a special Mother’s day breakfast.

Top 10 Mother’s Day Lunch Spots

The Balmoral Boatshed | 2 The Esplanade , Balmoral Beach. Highlight: Ocean view and BYO (wine only). Must try: Seared kingfish, tapenade, watermelon and mint – yum!Lo light – Do not take Reservations.

The Grounds of Alexandria | 2 Huntley Street, Alexandria. At the Atrium, there’s a special Mother’s day lunch on (Sat 10th and Sun 11th) from 12pm, $60pp. Otherwise, the go-to dish would have to be the Turkish style soft poached free-range eggs served in rich tomatoes with labneh, cannellini beans, spinach & pistachios.

Watsons Bay | 1 Military Road, Watsons Bay. Something for the whole family! Indulge in a 3-course feast for lunch 12pm and 3pm or dinner 6pm on Mother’s Day for $65pp and $25 for children. Highlight: Mum receives a complimentary bottle of Printhie wine to enjoy with the meal (1 bottle per 5 people booked).

The Winery | 285A Crown St, Surry Hills. Treat mum to a decadent but low key affair with a three course lunch for $85pp. So much food!  Highlight:  Flute of Veuve on arrival.

Marigold | Level 4 & 5, Citymark Building, 683-689 George Street Sydney. Highlight: Something for the whole family – perfect if you have a big one! Marigold is easily the most authentic yum cha in Sydney.

Alpha | 238 Castlereagh Street, Sydney. Must try: Make sure Mum brings her appetite, the food is amazing, The Spanakopita pie and the slow roasted lamb shoulder are delicious dishes. (Unfortunately I won’t be in Sydney this Mother’s day to spend it with Mumsy Shabanabang, I will however be spoiler her here upon my return!!) Review here

Chiswick | 65 Ocean St, Woollahra. On Sunday guests are invited to dine from the Collective Menu at a cost of $95 pp and $55 for children. Two seatings are available 12pm to 2pm or 2.30pm to 5pm. Otherwise the wood roasted Moran family lamb, carrots, pumpkin, yoghurt, mint – is incredible! Review here

Sean’s Panorama, Bondi | 270 Campbell Pde, Bondi. Highlight: Gorgeous view of Bondi Beach, amazing seasonal food, you can’t go wrong here! The 5 course ‘Chef’s choice’ degustation is a great options, prices starts from $110.

Cafe Sydney | Customs House, Alfred Street, Sydney. An old favourite, you can go past! Highlight: Overlook the Sydney Harbour with a 3 course Mother’s day lunch $98pp $39 Children (What a bargain!).

The Tea Room- Mosman Suakin Drive, Mosman. Highlight: The 180 degree waterfront panorama is breathtaking

The Tea Room QVB | Level 3, North End, QVB, 455 George St, Sydney. Must try: Lemon meringue pies

Radisson Blu Hotel Sydney |  27 O’Connell Street, Sydney. Highlight: For an elegant, indulgent and gluten free experience. Must try: Lemon curd tart and chocolate beetroot cake

Ladurée  | Level 3, Westfield Sydney, Market Street, Sydney (Booking at 9231 0491). Highlight: After your shopping expedition, take Mum to Ladurée Sydney for special Mother’s Day Parisian-style high tea (available Sat and Sun)

Langham | 89-113 Ken street, Sydney. The Langham, Sydney has partnered with the McGrath Foundation and Wedgwood to bring your m89-113 Kent Street, sydney um the most memorable Mother’s Day experience with our delightful Tiffin Afternoon Tea. There are three seatings on Sunday, 10:00-12:00pm, 12:30-2.30pm, 3:00-5:00pm, prices start from $99pp and $49 for children. For an extra $25 spoil mum with an express manicure. ($5 from each manicure will be donated to the McGrath Foundation.)
Highlight: The $119 pp offer includes a glass of Laurent-Perrier Rosé & Wedgwood

The Tea Salon | Westfield Sydney, L4 (designer Gallery), Corner of Pitt St Mall and Market St. Comes with high recommendations. Upon arrival mum will be greeted with a flute of sparkling wine and presented with a vintage-inspired triple tier stand filled with freshly cut sandwiches, assorted sweeties, and her favourite scone. The Tea Salon’s Mother’s Day Sparkling High Tea costs $48 per person, $19.95 for children. Highlight:Each mum will receive a $50 Leona Edmiston gift card
