Mr Wong, Sydney CBD

Vibe Think modern day 1930’s Shanghai teahouse, it’s a sophisticated joint, with a slightly older crowd mainly because of the CBD location. It’s always buzzing with conversation and laughter but it still feels cosy and intimate for a private chat amongst friends & lovers.  I highly recommend this place for all occasions. It’s perfect for client lunches, dinner dates, catch up with the girls or a group birthday celebration. It’s no surprise they received Two Hats & Best New Restaurant at the 2014 Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide Awards and were names in the 2015 Gourmet Travellers Top 100 list

Spend $$$ (Depending on what you order – could be just $$)

Dress code Sophisticated affluent chic is the way to go… and by that I mean tailored or high waisted pants, jackets over the shoulders, delicate blouses, loose fit dresses, fitted jump-suits. All accompanied by you designer handbag.

Food The must haves – Don’t ask, just order: Salt and pepper lamb cutlets (OMG) , duck spring roll, the pan fried spinach dumpling and the pan fried chicken and chive dumpling (love anything fired!). Twice cooked green beans, pork mince and XO sauce and the deep fried ice cream with butterscotch sauce. Sorry about the crappy pictures :/

Reservations are only available for groups of six or more so get there really early (6pm-ish) to put your name down, then head around the corner to Palmer and Co  for a few drinks until your table is ready.

Love Bangers x
